Rangiora TUG Project
Building a low-cost glider tug for Youth Glide
Major Milestones

The Rangiora TUG Project is the brainchild of two experienced and dedicated aviation professionals and glider experts, who, due to their wheeming modesty, prefer to remain nameless.

It uses a Mono Z airframe and a Honda Jazz engine, both pre-loved, and after a few years of painstaking adaptation, was finally run up, with a borrowed propellor, on 27 October, 2018.

On 28 May, 2020, it first took to the air, by then equipped with an Aerocharger turbo; 4-blade, 74", Bolly propeller; and full cowling.
